These terms explain how you may use PWC Lights and what the calculators can and cannot do for you.

Using this site

pwclights.com is a free, independent website that offers holiday-lights and Halloween decorating calculators. You can use the pages without an account. By using the site you agree to these terms; if you do not agree, please do not use it.

Estimates, not professional advice

Every calculator returns a planning estimate from the numbers you enter and the formula shown on the page. Some tools estimate electrical loads, extension-cord runs, and ladder reach for temporary decorations. The results are not electrical or safety advice. Follow product labels and outlet, cord, and breaker ratings, use outdoor-rated equipment, and consult a licensed electrician for anything beyond plug-in holiday displays.

Accuracy and no warranty

The formulas and worked examples are checked, but mistakes are possible and real-world conditions vary. The site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. Check important results by hand and against the manufacturer’s data before you buy materials or act on them. If you find an error, please report it through the Contact page.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PWC Lights is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or cost arising from the use of, or reliance on, this site or its results. You are responsible for how you use the numbers.

Advertising and links to other sites

The site is supported by advertising served by Google AdSense. Ads are provided by third parties, and an ad appearing here is not an endorsement. Some pages link to manufacturers, standards bodies, or other external sites; those sites are not under our control and have their own terms and privacy practices. How advertising cookies are used is explained on the Privacy page.

Community submissions

If you send a holiday display or trick-or-treat listing through one of the site’s forms, it is reviewed before anything is published. By submitting a listing you confirm that the details are accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to share any photo you send. PWC Lights may edit, shorten, decline, or remove a listing at any time, and will remove a published listing on request. Listings are provided as a community courtesy: hours and displays change, so please verify before you visit, respect private property, and follow posted rules.

Content and copyright

The text, calculators, and layout of this site are original work and are protected by copyright. You are welcome to use the calculators, to link to any page, and to quote short excerpts with a link back. Please do not copy or republish whole pages or the calculator code without permission.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated when the site changes. The date below shows the latest revision; continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
