When to use
Use this when packing stainless S-hooks for multiple outdoor wreaths — front door, storm door, side lights, or shutter pairs.
This is hardware count.
Wet wreaths and wind need rated working-load hooks; decorative unrated hooks are for indoor dry use only.
Front, side, storm, shutter pairs you will dress.
Usually 1; stacked looks may use 2.
1 for simple hang; 2 if chaining to a rail.
Lost hooks, wind swaps, extras for bows.

Example defaults — 3 mounts × 1 wreath × 1 hook = 3; +20% → buy 4 S-hooks.
Prefer stainless outdoor hooks with a published working load above wet wreath weight.
Measure rod/rail diameter so the hook opening clears with a little slack — not a loose sloppy fit.
Second example: one input changed
From the defaults (Door / mount locations = 3; Wreaths per location = 1; S-hooks per wreath = 1; Spare % = 20), the calculator shows:

Now raise Door / mount locations from 3 to 5 and keep the other entries. The result becomes:

Comparing the two runs tells you how sensitive the answer is to that one measurement. If a small change in it swings the result a lot, measure it twice.

Units: counts and percent.
Assumptions: one primary hang point per wreath unless hooks/wreath > 1; spare rounds up.
Not a substitute: structural fastener engineering or adhesive hook weight charts in rain.
Do not hang heavy wet wreaths on adhesive hooks outdoors. Keep swing clear of storm-door glass and sidelights.
